Amanda Jolly Instagram – [SWIPE!!] TANGLED || ep 209, Theres’s Something About Hookfoot: Designing the new lead for this episode, the mermaid Seraphina, was my very first job on our show. I joined the team part way into season 2, so many amazing things had been created to fill this world, and day-one on the job I was given this responsibility. So I panicked and made like 30 mermaid options, as one does. Haha. Here are some of my faves who didn’t make the cut. .

Also, worth mentioning: I was in a rough place artistically before I started on Tangled. I’d been working on a lot of projects and a number of characters that didn’t inspire me, and I was just getting frustrated and restless. I wanted to make something beautiful. I want to draw something I’d loved when I was younger. I wanted I chance to show women and differently shaped women in a positive light. And then I stepped onto Tangled and got this assignment. This job has meant so much to me, and I’m so happy to be making things for it. .
