I did justice to my 10 year old self last night by re-living my one of my fondest childhood memories… my very first concert… If you haven’t guessed it by the fact that I’m wearing a tie… AVRIL LAVIGNE 😭🤘🏻!!!!!!!!! ⁣

2002. Yes I was in elementary school. Yes I gave my parents a heart attack asking for black nail polish, spike bracelets and black eyeliner at the mere age of 9. But Avril! Sk8tr Boi!!! I couldn’t save up enough allowance to buy the CD so… I had the cassette tape… and called my friends every time it played on the radio… and had every poster of Avril ever produced on my wall (among others, see 3rd pic straight from my scrapbook). Sk8tr boi still brings me absurd amounts of joy every time it comes on. @avrillavigne has been the soundtrack to over half of my life and going strong 🙌🏻 ⁣

And no, I wasn’t the only OG Avril fan wearing a tie last night. She mostly played her old songs! Sorry new teen fans, she had to or I would have rioted. ⁣
