This quote resonated with me today. In the past few weeks, I have only been home a day or two at a time. In the past few months, I have uprooted again and moved away from the routine and the network I had established. In a time I once thought I might be winding down, my career is moving forward in a way I never imagined. –
Right now, I almost feel more at home when I’m on the road. At least then, I know that it will be chaos. But at home, it still feels a little chaotic at the moment. I haven’t had much time to settle in the new space as I continue to travel as well as focus on the things that will prepare me for each trip and each performance. –
But maybe that doesn’t have to be a bad thing. Maybe I can appreciate and embrace this chaos that comes with a time of growth and change. This shake up is because I am moving forward. And now I have to rebuild everything in a way that fits where I am going. The growing pains mean I’m growing. –
I am becoming comfortable with being uncomfortable. Using the discomfort to propel me to work and to create and to imagine. Take chances. Controlling my controllables and choosing each path as many opportunities are presented before me. –
Today I make the choice to surrender my security so that I can live, and live my very best. –
