Barrett Foa Instagram – Yesterday was Nonnie’s 102nd birthday, so naturally, I raised a glass of scotch in her honor. She passed peacefully back in May at the ripe young age of 101 (and 3/4). She and I grew very very close over the past decade. I got to be with her on one of her final days, and I whispered all our inside jokes in her ear. She drank single malt scotch every single day of her life – I even named my dog Scotch after her favorite drink (mine, too.) Nonnie, I know you’re up there enjoying a Dewar’s (rocks glass, ice on the side) and secretly gobbling up milk chocolate Easter bunnies (solid only, none of that cheap stuff) in that big closet in the sky. Giving you a big, loud “kiss in ear!” Let’s all raise a glass to my late grandma, Marie “Nonnie” Foa! 🥃 .
