Candace Owens Instagram – SWIPE: Time to shut down a couple of ridiculous stereotypes/questions/concerns when it comes to black conservatives.
1) Yes, I have of course dated black men. I also have black family members (all of them), and believe it or not I will bear black children who will (hopefully) grow up in a world when people aren’t as ignorant as to believe that you have to be either black or white, or like either one or the other.
2) No, I didn’t grow up wealthy. My first address in life was 133 Tresser Blvd, Stamford CT (look it up)— a low income housing development where me and my two sisters shared a room. Both my parents worked hard (my mom was a school-bus monitor, who didn’t have a high school degree and my father worked two jobs, so we barely saw him when we were super young ).
3) I’ve always been attracted to people for their intelligence. The more intelligent, the hotter. Intelligence knows no specific race.
4) If you are a black person and you spew regressive crap about bi-racial dating— you are an idiot. The Loving vs. Virginia court case fought during the civil rights era gave us the RIGHT to love people—Any people—based on who they are. Not the color of their skin. Ending Miscegenation was something our ancestors went to prison for.
5) When it comes to me and my husband and our eventual children—don’t.
Thank you and good night.
