Their ears simply can not tolerate that frequency of sound. I had to clasp on to him to make him stop. That one moment of, what is incomprehensible to me, “joy” that we experience seeing a cracker light up, or a rocket launching into the sky, causes prolonged, and often chronic damage to our sweetest, harmless and most loving animals.
