Sanjana Sanghi Instagram – My youngest of our 5 dogs, Simba, spent his Diwali night hiding in a far off corner of our home, whimpering, vomiting, and shivering trying to protect himself from the endless noise around him. Their ears simply can not tolerate that frequency of sound. I had to clasp on to him to make him stop.
That one moment of, what is incomprehensible to me, “joy” that we experience seeing a cracker light up, or a rocket launching into the sky, causes prolonged, and often chronic damage to our sweetest, harmless and most loving animals.
Share the story of what your pet cat, dog, or any or all other animals went through because of this selfish and petty menace on our part, with the hashtag #PettyDiwali and tag me. Or email us at [email protected]
So we can collate and then share the experiences of what our pets go through, for those who are ignorant, and move towards making a concrete change next time round. GIVE CRACKERS UP.
