Special guest, Upasana Konidela of the Apollo Foundation opened the program with strong words of encouragement to the 4,000 plus girls and women in attendance that day. She opened by stating that these girls are the most powerful people in the world and encouraged them to make sure they take care of their health and wellbeing first, so that they can also take care of others. She told them that having a menstrual cycle is a blessing because women are the givers of life. .
