Annie Murphy Instagram – Today, I went to Azraq Refugee Camp in Jordan and was fortunate enough to meet three young Syrian women (and their six brothers and sisters), who are more intelligent, driven, capable, and talented than me or anyone in my social circle (close and distant), combined. . Asma, 17, was not only the first girl to ride a bike in the camp, but has earned her black belt in taekwondo, has made an incredible short documentary, and wants to go into business management when she grows up. . Rayan, 14, is not only ferociously studying English and film, but is sitting on her student council educating other young women about the dangers of child marriage and the importance of a continued education, and wants to become a pediatrician when she grows up. . Zainab, 11, is not only one level away from her black belt, and studies film and English, but sits on her school council to raise awareness about anti-bullying, and wants to be a fashion designer when she grows up. . On top of this, these girls are kind, generous, fun, welcoming, and brimming full of hope for their futures, which they deserve to be the absolute brightest. @carecanada #carecanadaambassador .
