But there is a place that really understands what it’s like and can help you. Maggies is a cancer charity that I am very proud to be an ambassador for. They are extraordinary centres, beside NHS hospitals, where anyone with cancer can just come in and get all the practical and emotional support they need. They are places where you can meet other people around the kitchen table in the same boat as you. You can ask for help from benefits advisors, nutritionists, cancer support nurses and psychologists – or just sit and have a cup of tea.
