Al Gore Instagram – The climate crisis is also a food and agriculture crisis. Farmers are suffering from the impacts every day – floods and downpours, deeper and longer droughts, heat stress affecting crop yields, and more. I strongly believe that the agriculture community can lead the solutions to this crisis. Today, there’s a farmer-led regenerative agriculture movement underway. Farmers are cultivating their land in a way that restores soil health and removes excess carbon from the atmosphere.
I was in DC this week to discuss these solutions with @senatordebbiestabenow at The Foundation for Food and Agriculture’s Foster Our Future gathering, and with @chelliepingree and 30 members of the House of Representatives.
