After spotting turtles in the bay, we headed over to Dr Jennifer Lunch’s lab at @hawaiipacificuniversity to dissect the gut of a green sea turtle that had passed away. . Sea turtles easily mistake plastic for food and this poor specimen had these 78 pieces inside him. . I was utterly shocked to see this.
