Amala Akkineni Instagram – After 7 yrs of drought Australia has been hit by horrific fires due to peak summer and dry conditions. Millions of hectares of forests have burned, thousands of people have lost their homes, and rescue workers are working overtime. Over 480 million animals have perished in these fires and things and conditions are not looking great for those that have survived because of dearth of food and water; pushing some to a brink of extinction. Fires had reached as far as Kangaroo Island. Terrible terrible tragedy. 😢😰 Praying for Australia and that the rains come soon to save them 🙏.
