Bethann Hardison Instagram – A wonderful new book developed by the passionate author Marcellas Reynolds, “SUPREME MODELS” Abrams Publishing..sub-titled “Iconic Black Women Who Revolutionized Fashion”. A truly beautiful book that represents models of today and yesterday. The quality speaks volume to the level of appreciation of the models featured by the author.
In 1998 deceased author Barbara Summers published her book “Skin Deep” Amisted Press. It was the first to share the stories of black models that satisfied the thirst of many. It became the only book of reference that had documented.the story of black models.
I loved what Barbara Smith had accomplished it was a vast on taking.
It was story telling.
Today we have that same type of dedication to document black models in SUPREME MODELS,
It was time for something new.
It takes “a calling” to do this kind of project and do it well. I am glad to have witnessed both of these committed souls to put this content into history . Each are different but the intent the same.
