Cathy Yan Instagram – This cold, rainy NY day makes me think of directing / getting rained on / looking like a prepubescent boy while standing on the roof of a house in the middle of rubble during three days of intense rain rain machines (both good and shitty ones) 80 extras two cameras crane and dolly and steadicam crying slapping (lots of slapping) singing (shit ton of singing) shouting in mandarin and English and shanghainese one very wet dog 30 pigeons that we trained for 3 months so they’d fly circles around the house one usable bathroom.
