Sanjana Sanghi Instagram – • Amidst the most unforeseen global public health emergency, as a resultant factor, we have also landed up in an Education Emergency. @unesco , in it’s most recent figures, told us that 1.37 billion children are presently out of school owing to COVID-19. And @teachforindia reports that 30% of the world’s poorest children are in India, 74% of whom never make it to college. The classroom serves as a safe haven, of learning and an unlocking of potential from the harsh realities of challenges of where they come from. Being out of school for this prolonged period for children in India, amidst various other devastating consequences, also means the sudden disappearance of their access to the Mid Day Meal scheme. • At @aarohan_ngo , we work with over 3000 underprivileged families across Delhi. Your help in raising whatever possible funds to aid us in providing them with food packets and hygiene products will be unquantifiable.
