Grateful for another day of this human experience. A lesson that I have learned in this life is that control, as the majority views it, for the most part is an illusion. The only real control that we have is how we react to any action in the present moment of the given experience. This current pandemic is an example. We don’t have control of the existence of covid-19 but we can control our reaction to it. Most are responsibly sheltering in place and socially distancing when they are out of the house. Some are disregarding the warnings and doing what makes them happy by gathering socially and having parties. These reactions to the current situation that the entire world presently finds itself in are the little bit of control that we actually do have in this current situation. Whether we like it or not this virus is here and to what extent we don’t know yet. Please be responsible and think of others. Apparently today is #nationalsiblingday . In honor of this day I reached waaaaaaaaay back into the archives and pulled up this little gem. My brother Jeff and I doing the classic 1980’s Olen Mills Christmas photo. If you look really close you can see that I had clearly eaten a meal and stained my shirt just before taking this photo. Excited to be alive! Learning to lean into fear and keep taking in the journey with present awareness one step at a time. The present moment is all we have. The past is not “who” we are now. The future does not actually exist. The only control we actually have is how we react to any situation in the moment that situation occurs. It all comes down to the choices we make and the action we take. The life we choose to create is the life we choose to live. That being said, some days are much harder than others. Sometimes I want to want to lose it and break something. Sometimes I wanna break down on hands and knees and sob till every last drop of painful emotion has drained the tear ducts dry. We all go through the ups and downs in life. That’s just part of how the journey of the human experience goes. I take full responsibility for everything the good and the bad that happens in this experience. I have attracted ALL of it. These are are the lessons that teach us and help shape us into the elevated high vibe beings that we have the potential to become. Let’s put forth our best efforts to be the best we can be.
