Candace Owens Instagram – Cried today. So many beautiful moments of my childhood racing back to me. I was too poor to afford to watch Kobe play live, but I’d have my friends over and we’d crowd around the TV and watch #BlackMamba do what he did best: ignite the crowd. Words are failing me in this moment. It’s hard to describe what Kobe meant to me, not just on the court, but off of it. He was unlike most athletes, because he was truly an intellectual. His poise, his dominance, and his ability to communicate a message. What Kobe meant to me, is best said in his own words: “If you want to be great at something, there’s a choice you have to make.
