Celeste Ziegler Instagram – HELLO MARRIAGE , GOODBYE LA ! This last while has been such a whirlwind of emotions. One of the best days of my life happened & I finally got to marry my soulmate. Driving 22 hours with a uhaul across a closed border to marry & pack up our life in LA because of family matters back home & the film/modelling industry collapsing, has been nothing but easy. But as I wandered the streets of LA for the last time before our move, I saw what LA had become during the pandemic. A city that we had moved to for it’s vibrancy and entertainment industry had now become quiet & empty. Experiencing LA at it’s current stage reassured me I was doing the right thing for now. Fast forward to our elopement ; it reminded me that it doesn’t really matter where we live , as long as I have my ❤️ by my side. We decided to elope & so happy we did because every ounce of pressure, anxiety & obligation was stripped away by just “winging it”. No tangible details mattered in a time when all businesses were shut down & that’s what made it so real & raw and it was purely about our love for one another that day! Granted we would love to have family & friends there and we are planning a party next year when all things covid settle. I’ve never been that girl that dreamed of getting married, in fact I was always the girl that people asked when I was going to settle down. I’ve always had a gypsy soul, which seemed like it could never be tamed as I gallivanted around the world for years. Finally this one (now my hubby )caught me off guard , my soul wanted to stay and feel safe with one partner.
I am forever grateful to my bestie @bentleystingley for becoming an ordained minister and making our marriage happen ! Her amazing fam helped us location hunt & did everything from candles to flowers & cake & photos. Her mother treated me like one of her own, much needed in a time when I received the news that my mom was hospitalized while in LA this time💔In a moment where everyone is paranoid & fearful of closeness , it was such a beautiful and magical moment to celebrate togetherness & love .
