Shruti Bapna Instagram – While filming this scene we were just a feet or two apart sitting on the floor in a chawl. Although I was being all professional and composed, inside of me I was churning with all kinds of emotions I can’t define. I tried to steal few moments just observing him. As we began shooting the scene with him saying, “No No No…” when we offer him more food… Exactly at THAT moment I understood what being truthful felt like. I could feel in every cell of MY body that HE is so full. It took me some moments to come back to my own senses of performing. And this is just one small such story of the 3 words from that 1 line he said. I got to interact with him later on at the success party of the film and that was the moment I realised what it means to transform for a character. What I saw then was the person he was… so gentle so kind so funny and those eyes of “Saajan” had now transformed back into Irrfan’s. It’s been very heavy since yesterday with all those memories coming back and reminding how he touched so many lives and I was fortunate to be just one of those.
