Swara Bhaskar Instagram – So crushed to be posting this today! #RIP little #HukumSingh my precious baby! 😢😢😢 On 22nd April ‘20 at nearly midnight, some neighbors from my building including @sairaawasthi found an abandoned infant kitten meowing in our complex garden & called me. I took a look at the little fellow- perhaps 10 days old and realised it would need to be dropper fed. No one else felt confident to take him home and that’s how the little kitten came to my house and into my life. Suddenly my yawning lockdown days had a purpose- caring for little Hukki.. and making sure my other four larger pets didn’t inadvertently harm him. He was the littlest most loveable thing! On 29th April he had his first seizure. And after that every few days he would have a seizure. Vets were not sure and couldn’t diagnose the problem exactly- epilepsy or a head injury or worms or a malfunctioning liver? He was too small to run any significant tests.. We managed the best we could, making multiple trips to the vet clinics. All the vets I reached out to were kind and responsive; and I’m so grateful for them. 💜🙏🏽 My little #Hukki was tiny but fierce – a fiesty minuscule warrior. There were good days and bad. On Wednesday 13th May he was active and drinking his kitten milk enthusiastically. 24 hours later he was sluggish and seemed to be lethargic. I gave him some ORS and at night held him close. He seemed to revive. I assumed he would make it through the night.. like he had previously. I returned him to his blanketed basket. An hour later i heard strange sounds and found him in convulsions.. I rushed down to fetch an SOS medicine and two min later when I came back.. he was gone! 😢 Goodbye #Hukki I wish we could have saved you! I wish I could have done more.
