It’s not every day you get to vote for common sense gun reform, Medicare for All, getting corporate money out of politics, taxing extreme wealth, honest climate change policy, combating institutional racism, transforming our energy systems, and eliminating private prisons. There’s a lot to fight for right now, and I’m fired up to stand with @BernieSanders. LET’S GO! #FeelTheBern

One day at time please and thank you, and up and out, and down and closed, and hell yes and lord no, and please lick my face!
I wouldn’t be lying if I said I was grateful for a good old fashioned Scoop-n-Love, followed by a nice Hang-n-Squish.
Shocked to learn of the passing of the brilliant Terrence McNally. He was a legend to me. This photo was taken after a production of “Ragtime” last year. Gushed that I was introduced to his work through my high school drama program with a play I still think about, “Bringing It All Back Home.” Grateful for that moment. What a legacy. What a sweet soul.

“WINGS” (2017) Things take a turn for the worse when Jonah shows up to a bar booth uninvited and starts eating the table’s buffalo wings. Based on true events, this short film was a welcome collaboration with the consummate buds @jnickitas, @emfassler, and @d4ndr01d a couple of lightyears ago. Profuse sweating on @branmcshane courtesy of elevated spice levels. This one is very special to me, and the folks behind it even more so. Watch NOW! (LINK IN BIO)
In 2004, I got the good fortune to visit Chicago for the very first time. I was a junior in high school, and it was my first time in the Midwest. I visited colleges and followed in the footsteps of Ferris Bueller. The city absolutely blew my mind. My mom took me to see a production of O’Neill’s “Hughie” at The Goodman directed by Bob Falls, and I watched Brian Dennehy with my jaw on the floor and my heart beating fast. He commanded the space, clever, smooth, gut-wrenching, and funny as hell. He was all of it, all at once. I nearly burst from my seat when the curtain fell. All I wanted was to be an actor. Nine years later, I found myself in the rehearsal room with Brian at the Mark Taper Forum at @ctgla for “The Steward of Christendom” directed by Steve Robman. The first thing he said was, “Who tows a car from the sixth floor of a damned parking garage? Los Angeles. What a town, what a town.” He corrected my posture when he introduced himself to me. I couldn’t stop grinning. That production got me my @actorsequity card. I could barely form a sentence at the table while I signed the union paperwork with Brian only a few seats away. He told us stories about working with Chris Farley in “Tommy Boy.” He could pontificate about Irish history, and he would always be right. He got mad when I tried to talk politics with him, but he’d laugh at my jokes moments later. He continued to correct my posture, even in the middle of rehearsing scenes. He poured over every syllable. He asked my opinions before we started working. He loved the Irish Whiskey “Writer’s Tears” and would roar with laughter over the name. He kept it going when we went to the pub on a few occasions. He always brought me in. He was always kind. RIP Brian, you staggering genius, you absolute gift. You’ve left an indelible mark.

I’m committing myself to action. To get informed. To root out racism in my community. To listen. To lift up black lives. To pledge to do everything I can to be better. I see you, I love you, I grieve with you, and I stand with you: loudly and proudly in solidarity with the black community. ⠀ @ReclaimTheBlock is calling on Minneapolis to divest from policing and invest in violence prevention, housing, resources for youth, emergency mental health response teams, and solutions to the opioid crisis. ⠀ @BlackVisionsCollective centers on healing and transformative justice principles, sustainability, and developing Minnesota’s emerging Black leadership to lead powerful campaigns. ⠀ @Mvmnt4BlkLives has a five-year organizational plan that includes mass engagement, influencing local agendas, building across movements and communities, leadership development, and a forward-thinking electoral strategy. ⠀ #BlackLivesMatter #JusticeForGeorgeFloyd 📷: @b_rockstone

Tomorrow the original album for our beloved @StarryMusical is out. I just gave it a listen, and…I can’t wait to share it with you. If you’ve followed the show over the past couple years, you’re going to love the new orchestrations, and if you’re new to it…welcome to the fold! There’s so much heart packed into this piece, and I’m indebted to @mattdahanmusic and @kellylynnedang, who’ve brought it from a little dream into something bold and special. They poured themselves into the work, and it’s been inspiring as hell to work alongside them. Look for the album TOMORROW on iTunes, Amazon, or CDBaby, and pop it on repeat on Spotify and Apple Music. 🌌
I couldn’t be more pumped for the release of @digitalskypod, out NOW! I had the honor of lending my voice to the latest episode, “ELECTRIC CIRCUIT.” This is an epic narrative anthology podcast, which lives in the tradition of “The Twilight Zone” and “Black Mirror,” and each episode is an edge-of-your-seat adventure about the apps that control our lives, and the power of…social media. 🤯 Be sure to subscribe on @applepodcasts, and throw us a rating if you love it! I had a blast working with @brizzyvoices for the first time on this, which made me so happy after all these years in the Harry Potter community together. Thank you to the incomparable Digital Sky team, especially @scottzakarin and the titan @frishmaniac and the @cesdvoiceover family at @cesdtalent. Hope you love it! (LINK IN BIO)
