I find this photo incredibly powerful (Photo credit: Elijah Nouvelage). I tend not to post that much but I will say this. I stand with all my black brothers and sisters. With all the communities who are in pain right now. This HAS to stop. I pray for the day when anyone, no matter their colour or creed can walk down the street and KNOW that they have the same rights as anyone else, the same freedoms, and, most importantly, know they are SAFE and PROTECTED. That they will be treated with the same respect and dignity that every human being deserves. I know that me, an imperfect human, posting on this imperfect platform maybe doesn’t mean much – but I do believe that, having seen the outpouring of grief and love and anger on here, we can help show those who are hurting right now that we are with them. That we care. That we will do whatever we can to help and to change the world for the better. Apologies for the inelegance of the above, but know this: #blacklivesmatter and let us hope that real change is coming.
