Chloe Bennet Instagram – Hey @kiranasrat remember when we went to Italy and we got pasta drunk and also regular drunk and tried to be influencers at 4am? …I have like 749263 videos of us just individually walking down hallways(!!!!) the fuck were we doing?! Whatever it was I miss it. We’re so dumb but, I miss doing dumb things like this.
Chloe Bennet Instagram – Having been raised in a multiracial family, this time has proven to be an extreme period of growth in how we as a family communicate. Even if you think you are aware of the injustices and horror that African Americans face on a daily basis, the reality is, unless you are black, you simply do not know. So if you are a white person, a passing POC, or a non black American, like me, it is on US to educate ourselves. It is on US to communicate. And it’s on US to learn about how we can be the most effective and positive allies. While social media is an incredibly effective tool, this is about making real life, every day changes in how we engage with each other. It’s about holding each other accountable for our words and our actions no matter how difficult it may be. This is how change happens. I am incredibly thankful for my two brothers @awvee and @fairplay_2333 who have constantly engaged me, and helped me better understand their reality as black men living in America. Our lifetime of loving, open and and sometimes difficult conversations have been and continue to be an invaluable gift.
Above I’m reposting @shiftingtheculture and their 5 ways for non black people to take action. This is on us. #blacklivesmatter
