That’s why we have books and teachers and museums and the internet that lives 5 seconds away in our pockets.
There’s nothing wrong with wanting to remember the history of the civil war. In fact, we should. So if that’s what’s upsetting, **let’s vote people into office who take education seriously.** Thank you Gov. Ralph Northam of Virginia for electing to remove this Robert E. Lee statue. It’s a small step in a long race.
America cannot progress forward if the side of oppression is put up on a pedestal, staring our children in the face.
