Catherine’s goal is to find solutions to the water and sanitation crisis in marginalized rural communities across the U.S. by influencing policy, inspiring innovation, catalyzing relevant research, and amplifying the voices of community leaders. Her journey is chronicled in her book entitled Waste: One Woman’s Fight Against America’s Dirty Secret, set to be released on Nov. 17, 2020. “Environmental racism and contamination of any community deprives [its] residents of the basic right to live in a clean, healthy and safe environment.
