”May the stars carry your sadness away. May the flowers fill your heart with beauty. May hope forever wipe away your tears. And above all, may silence make you strong.” -Chief Dan George
Kashmir continues to suffer and see- saw between hope and frustration। There’s a false and uneasy semblance of calmness in place of escalating despair and sorrow। Kashmiris continue to exist and suffer in a world where it is so easy to place restrictions on our liberty.
Why do we have to live in a world where our lives and wills are controlled, dictated and bent? Why is it so easy to have our voices silenced? Why is it so easy to curtail our freedom of expression? Why aren’t we ever allowed to voice our opinions, let alone our disprovals, to decisions that are made contrary to our wishes? Why is it that instead of trying to see the cause of our view, our view is just condemned ruthfully? What is so easy to curb our voices so severely?
Why can we not live simple lives without always having to wrestle and remind the world of our existence. Why is that life of a Kashmiri is just about experiencing a lifetime of crisis, blockade and disturbance so abundantly that it has taken away the recognition of normalcy and harmony from the hearts and minds?
Hundreds of questions like these-unanswered; leaving us bewildered and frustrated, but our frustrations find no outlet. The authority doesn’t make the slightest effort to put a stop to our doubts and speculations but stubbornly tend to go their own way to confine our existence mired in a confused, conflicted and a paralysed world.
But I ask the world, what has altered your acceptance of the misery and oppression we’re being subjected to? Do not believe the unfair representation of the facts and details or the rosy hue that the media has cast on the reality of the situation.
Ask questions, re-examine the biased assumptions. Ask questions. For our voices have been silenced- and for how long….none of us really know!
Do not let your fire go out, spark by irreplaceable spark in the hopeless swamps of the not-quite, the not-yet, and the not-at-all. Do not let the hero in your soul perish in lonely frustration for the life you deserved and have never been able to reach. The world you desire can be won. //Ayn Rand
Bismillāh ir-Rahmān ir-Raheem (In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious the Most Merciful). The statement of the one who says ‘Bismillāh’’ does not refer to just one of Allah’s names. Rather, it refers to all the names of Allah.
This indicates to you the greatness of this Basmalah (Bismillāh ir-Rahmān ir-Raheem), in that you begin by seeking blessings and aid through every name amongst the Names of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic.
Shaykh al-Uthaymeen (Rahimahullāh), Tafseer Surah as-Saffat, page 12

Ya Allāh! Make me pleased with Your Divine Will
and bless me in Your Divine Decree,
so that I neither love that what You have delayed should occur quickly, nor that what You have made to occur quickly is delayed.
A Dua Umar Bin Abdil Azeez (Rahimahullah) used to recite. [Reference: ar-Rida-an il-laahi bi-Qadaa’ihee by Ibn Abi Dunyaa (Rahimahullah)]
Say: O my servants! who have acted extravagantly against their own souls, do not despair of the mercy of Allah; surely Allah forgives the faults altogether; surely He is the Forgiving the Merciful.

[Surah Az-Zumar, V: 53]
If you display something good,
then make what you hide even better.
For the one who conceals good is characterized by it, and the one who conceals evil is characterised by evil. -Muhammad bin ‘Abdillffi bin Zinji al-Baghdadi
“Surah Al-Fatihah”
This Surah is called Al-Fatihah, that is, the Opener of the Book, the Surah with which prayers are begun. It is also called, Umm Al-Kitab (the Mother of the Book), because the Qur’an starts with it and because the prayer is started by reciting it.
It was also said that it is called Umm Al-Kitab, because it contains the meanings of the entire Qur’an. Every Salāh is incomplete without it’s recitation as Muslim recorded that Abu Hurayrah said that the Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) said, “Whoever performs any prayer in which he did not read Umm Al-Qur’an, then his prayer is incomplete” & he said it thrice.
The honorable Surah Al-Fatihah contains seven Ayāt (verses) including the praise and thanks of Allah, glorifying Him and praising Him by mentioning His most Beautiful Names and most high Attributes.
It also mentions the Hereafter, which is the Day of Resurrection, and directs Allah’s servants to ask of Him, invoking Him and declaring that all power and strength comes from Him. It also calls to the sincerity of the worship of Allah alone, singling Him out in His divinity, believing in His perfection, being free from the need of any partners, having no rivals nor equals.
Al-Fatihah directs the believers to invoke Allah to guide them to the straight path, which is the true religion, and to help them remain on that path in this life, and to pass over the actual Sirat (bridge over hell that everyone must pass over) on the Day of Judgment. On that Day, the believers will be directed to the gardens of comfort in the company of the Prophets, the truthful ones, the martyrs and the righteous.
Al-Fatihah also encourages performing good deeds, so that the believers will be in the company of the good-doers on the Day of Resurrection. The Surah also warns against following the paths of misguidance, so that one does not end up being gathered with those who indulge in sin, on the Day of Resurrection, including those who have earned the anger and those who were led astray. Quran recitation by Qāri Mishary Rashid Alafasy
Badamwari
Narrated Anas ibn Maalik رضي الله عنه|,
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Verily Allah has His own people among mankind.” They said, “O Messenger of Allah, who are they?” He replied, “They are the people of the Qur’an, Allah’s own people and those who are closest to Him.”
[Ibn Maajah (215) and Ahmad (11870)]
Classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh Ibn Maajah.
Al-Minnaawi رحمه الله said,
That is, (the people of the Quran are those) who memorise the Qur’an and act in accordance with it are the people of Allah, who are as close to Allah as a person’s family is to him. They are called thus by way of honouring them, just as (the Ka‘bah) is called the House of Allah.
Al-Hakeem at-Tirmidhi said:
This only applies to the reciter whose heart is free from ailments and his behaviour is free of misconduct. No one could be one of Allah’s own people except one who is cleansed of sin both outwardly and inwardly, and does acts of obedience to Allah. Then he will be one of Allah’s own people.

Faith is an oasis in the heart which will never be reached by the caravan of thinking. -Khalil Gibran
“So We sent upon them the flood and locusts and lice and frogs and blood: Signs openly self explained: but they were steeped in arrogance- a people given to sin”

COVID-19 has put the World on lockdown. Everyone including Governments to Non-Government organizations are releasing advisories to minimize the spread of this epidemic. Experts are advising that self quarantining & cleanliness are the most effective tools to contain the epidemic.
Here are advices from the Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him). .
*Objects in the mirror are closer than they appear*
“Closer and closer to mankind comes their Reckoning: yet they heed not and they turn away”
– Surah al-Anbiyaa: V:1 [21:1]
65. “And for those are careful of their duty to Allah (the ones who have Taqwa), Allah (ever) prepares a way out. And Allah provides for him from (sources) he never could imagine.
And if any one puts his trust in Allah, sufficient is (Allah) for him. For Allah will surely accomplish his purpose: verily, for all things has Allah appointed a due proportion” 65:2-3.
Taqwa is to abstain from what Allah has ordered to be forbidden and to refrain from disobeying him & fearing His punishment. It is to act in obedience to Allah’s commands in the light of His Guidance & in hope of His reward & mercy.
Tawakul is entrusting all the matters to Allah & relying sincerely upon His plan. It is to believe that He is the Best Sustainer & disposer of all affairs.
“And put your trust in Allah if you are believers indeed” (Quran, 5: 23)”
Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “The first action for which a servant of Allah will be held accountable on the Day of Resurrection will be his prayers. If they are in order, he will have prospered and succeeded. If they are lacking, he will have failed and lost. (Sunan al-Tirmidhī 413) ‘
Umar Ibn al-Khattaab رضي الله عنه said: “The most important of your affairs in my view is prayer; whoever prays regularly has protected his faith, but whoever neglects it, is bound to be more negligent in other issues of faith.” [at-Taareeqah al-Hakamiyah, p. 240]
In Surah Baqarah:
2:2- Guidance is granted to those who have Taqwa:
2:3-Those who establish Salah *(Iqamat e Salah) and spend out of what we have given (Zakaah). Iqamat-e-Salah is to pray with all the obligations that accompany it.
As Mutaqil Bin Hayyan puts it, “To preserve punctuality for it, as well as completing one’s purity for it, completing the bowings, prostations, recitation and Tashahud and blessings for the Prophet ﷺ”This is Iqamat e Salah.
”Those who keep us prayer and spend out of what we have given them, these are believers in the truth, they shall have from their Rabb grades of dignity & forgiveness (Magfirah) & generous sustenance (Rizqun Kareem) -
Qur’an: 8:3-4
Faith is not complete until a Muslim abandons envy, rancor, malice, and malevolence.
Ibn Hajar (rahimahullah) [Fatḥ al-Bārī, 1/74]
From the good conduct of the believers is to honour the neighbours.
A believer is not the one who sleeps at night while his neighbours next to him are hungry.
•
During these days how good would it be- if you’re able to- that when you buy things needed for your household, you would also get for your neighbours items that are generally needed and place them at their doors as during these times it would be difficult for some people to even get the essentials.
