Aksel Hennie Instagram – HAPPY ❤️ CHRISTMAS ! …I was debating Christmas with one of my colleagues prior to this holiday. She said she wouldn’t celebrate what she looked at as “the Salesman’s Joy”, and partly I can understand what she means. …especially looking at the heap of presents under our tree…. Still though, for me, it’s “celebrating the birth of kindness”… We can choose to celebrate or not celebrate a holiday, we can live our lives being sceptical or not, but for me it’s more valuable to search for a positive meaning, at least when we’re given a collective opportunity to think about subjects… For me Christmas will always be a time for love, joy, and kindness – even though there is a salesman somewhere out there making a lot of money on me giving away stuff to make people feel good… I love the food, the hugs, the smiles, the presents! ….and I also love the fact that society and media makes it impossible not to think of the ones not being as privileged as many of us are, so that we can react upon that. ….sometimes there’s small simple things that can change someone’s Christmas Eve …and life… So if you’re thinking about taking that one phone call, or putting a dime or more in that cup.
