Mike Vogel Instagram – “Daddy, the only reason I want to go on this trip is for the horseback ride”. I had promised her a ride through the mountains. My oldest is used to riding horses through the rolling pastures of Tennessee, but never the steep mountains of Idaho. I’ll say this, parenting is tough, and there have been so many times during quarantine where I just want a break from my kids…. (I’m sure none of you have felt the same way). I have had to slap myself around and remind myself that I will never ever be given this gift again, in my life. A time where life slows down enough that I am forced to connect and spend quality time with them, and the business of life is pushed to the side. There are no pressing engagements. The world has slowed down. This goes against my driven nature, but I am thankful for the opportunity to watch them grow. And man, looking at this picture, it happens FAST. So thankful for @yahoocorrals and Sky Wilson for taking us on trail ride through her private slice of Idaho. If you’re in McCall, look her up. You won’t regret it.
