Bianca Haase Instagram – I almost posted this photo on Monday. I didn’t upload it because… honestly…I couldn’t decide on a caption. I had landed somewhere around “Life’s short, get both scones,” but it didn’t feel ‘exactly’ right. Now that just seems ridiculous. How many times have you faltered for that exact reason, because you weren’t exactly right, or they weren’t, or it wasn’t? I know my list is plentiful, and I wasn’t proud of it, but somehow unable to change as wasted possibilities passed me by. Then Monday ended in a way I wasn’t prepared for. Someone I cared about deeply, though I’d only known shortly, died unexpectedly. Someone who lived more fully than most. Thank you for sharing your kindness and your spirit with us. You reminded me what authenticity looks like, and more importantly, what authenticity FEELS like. You included everyone and made us feel that anything was possible. I am so lucky to have circled in your orbit even for a short while. The souls you encounter next must be due a real angel. Moral of the story is: buy the damn scones, life IS short.
