Growing up, applying scalp oil was such a ritual that every sunday my sister, @iam_reyhna and I would look forward to getting champi ( Champi is an Ayurvedic head massage with a copious amount of natural oil that focuses on the chakras located in the head, face, and shoulders) Obviously, then it was more of a luxury and the comfort it provided us with as it was such a relaxing act that we would get the best afternoon nap. It is now that we value the ritual even more as we are bearing the fruits of the efforts our mom put into making sure the blend she made in the kitchen which was infused not only with all the ayurvedic herbs and seeds, but also immense love and purity making this simple act of champi spiritual and magical indeed.
