My biggest struggle is what to say to my kids. • I’ve partnered with my good friend @jillknoxpowell (an incredible artist) on what we are calling THE GREY PROJECT to raise money for some causes that are particularly meaningful to us. Causes that speak to race and to children. GREY because that’s what happens when black and white comes together. And because Grey was Jill’s first child who won’t get to see the future we’re all fighting for. • We decided on kids shoes because kids are our chance for the best future possible, but studies have shown that conversation isn’t enough in raising anti-racist children. We (and they) have to “walk-the-walk.” I struggle with what to say because I forget that speaking is only the first step. • Shoes are $100 a pair, including shipping. Jill and I will donate $75 of each pair sold, divided among these charities: • BLACK LIVES MATTER FAIR FIGHT – Stacy Abrams initiative to end voter suppression and ensure fair elections.
