Carly Schroeder Instagram – There are police officers out there who abuse their power, are dishonest, and whose actions only divide and antagonize those they have sworn to “protect and serve.” I completely agree that police officers like this need to be REMOVED from their duties and PUNISHED to the fullest extent of the law. You know who else agrees? The overwhelming number of GOOD cops out there.

Making the generalization that “all cops are bad” is intellectually lazy, hypocritical, and creates a more dangerous environment for both the police and the community. #backtheblue The same should be said for the generalization, stereotyping, and racial profiling of any race in OUR country.

Recently people have graffitied, had signs saying, or were filmed chanting phrases like: “Cops are Pigs” “F*** Blue Lives” “Kill Cops”… replace the last phrase with any other group or race: “Muslims”, “Jews”, “gays”, “veterans”, “immigrants”, “blacks”…. There would be an immediate public outcry against them and RIGHTFULLY so.  Why do we shrug our shoulders when people chant that about cops? Police are humans and their lives matter just as much as any other citizen of our great country.
