Dia Mirza Instagram – Meet Jayanta Daimary, a ranger in charge of the Jharbari Forest Range in Assam who despite the pandemic, has continued to patrol and do his part to protect our country’s heritage and wildlife. There are so many incredible people just like Jayanta who sacrifice being with their families for months at a time in order to honour their commitment as a ranger. Today, on #WorldRangerDay, I’d like to take a moment to share my salutations for all the work these brave men and women do 🙏🏻💚🌏

Dia Mirza Instagram – India is home to 70% of the world’s wild tiger population. This calls for celebration! But we must also ensure that we continue to protect our Tigers and their forests, ensure we protect the corridors that connect Tiger habitats for the sake of their survival. And empower our forest officers, rangers and staff so they can continue to defend our #NationalAnimal. Remember, our lives are connected to our Tigers 🌳💚🌏🐯

Salute and honour our #VanRakshaks #GreenSoldiers who work on the frontlines tirelessly 🐯🙏🏻🇮🇳
