My first ever Vogue cover !!! The whole time I was shooting this I never actually believed it would make it to the cover. I had some voice in my head thinking it was all a joke – ME on the cover of @vogueaustralia?? I really couldn’t believe it! Shot by the most incredible late Richard Bailey. What an honour it was to work with him and on such a monumental project for me. I definitely cried when I had the copy in my hands for the first time! To think that when I was 13 , before I started modelling, I’d never even heard of Vogue. I was such a tomboy. I never read a fashion magazine. I learnt everything through the industry, about the industry and so much more! It really was my saving grace. I’m so grateful 🙏🏼 *March 2008 issue*

My first ever “campaign” this was for @mossimoaustralia. We shot it in Sydney in an old run down house. My now agent in NYC @alikavoussi later told me that it was this image that made him sign me 🙂 I recently ran into the photographer that shot this – I didn’t recognise him, he said to me “I shot the campaign that made your career” I said “oh yea, what was that?” He told me it was this Mossimo shoot and I was like “ah, you’re right!!”

Thinking of all the industries suffering through this time. Fashion being a huge one. We’re all at a Halt. Thinking about everyone in every industry suffering from the ripple effect of Covid-19 today. I post this in an effort to support my fellow Aussies. While this is all very sad and scary, I’m looking forward to a new normal on the other side of this. US humans needed a Time Out to think about what we’ve done, who we are and what really matters.
