For the past few months Swiggy has become one of the most important modes of food and essentials delivery to quarantined families, Covid patients and other daily household supplies (Genie). All this was possible only because of the Swiggy delivery executives who have worked for many hours more than normal under extreme conditions risking their own lives just to make ends meet. It is very disheartening to see them suffer with delivery cost cuts – From Rs.40 to Rs. 15 for within 4Km radius and peak incentives reduced drastically. The only loss through this is for the delivery persons and not to Swiggy. They have started this strike across Chennai and Hyderabad to reach out to @swiggyindia to reconsider the delivery cost cuts.
