Sydelle Noel Instagram – This pic was taken at our wrap party for BP. Later on, Chadwick pulled me aside and asked why I always have that stupid wig on my head. I told him honestly b/c I hadn’t fully embraced being bald. He then told me, “You need to! You are a beautiful black woman and being bald only enhances your beauty. Man, you’re a Dora! You a badass! You’ll see!” … and I did.
That’s the kind of person Chadwick was, he would build you up no matter what. He was a deep and profound man and his spirit was always enlightening. I’m grateful to have known such an amazing man/king and to have called him a friend.
There were qualities in Chadwick that I can only wish to achieve some day. Conversations that we had in the past and now looking back… make sense now.
