Charlie Carver Instagram – Big shoutout and a massive thank you to the @ratchednetflix creative team and crew and the folks at @afxstudio. My job would have been impossible were it not for the incredible work that went into the look of this character as it informed practically everything. The SFX makeup department went through several revisions on this makeup (some of that process pictured here), each one bringing a new layer of meaning and artistry. My days would start 4 hours in the makeup chair (down to 2 1/2 by its end, all set to the stylings of master DJ/makeup pro @mikemekash). Then, after a perfect part got shellacked in the hair chair, off into our immaculate costumes by legend @eyrichlou. And the unbelievable sets you see transported us into the world of Ratched as much as I hope they transport you. From Lighting to Catering, Props to Locations, Camera to Production, SFX and Sound and Sets and Art and Editing and our amazing PA team, this show was made possible by the tireless work of each department who showed up every day before the cast did and stayed well after we got to go home.
