Eric Bass Instagram – This is Deno. Deno is my trainer, but he is waaay more than that to me. Deno is my friend. Deno is my BROTHER. Deno and I discuss racial issues and race relations on a weekly…hell, on a daily basis. I ask him about things I don’t understand, and he, in turn, does the same with me. I am fortunate enough to grow and gain so much understanding from his wisdom and perspective. However, I gain the most from his love. Yep, we’re two grown ass men, and I love him and he loves me. We say it every time that we part ways. I wish everyone in the world could have a friendship and relationship like the one we share. As we, a nation of imperfect and fallible individuals, all from different races and backgrounds, face each other right now and try and navigate these waters, please try and think about one another’s perspective. Take time to really listen to what someone from a different place has to say. You will grow from their wisdom, and gain valuable understanding. It can change you for the better.
