He has been instrumental in development and green lighting of films like Takht, Good Newwz, Bhoot, Guilty, and the forthcoming Gunjan Saxena. He started his journey as a film journalist with Zee News and CNN IBN, gradually moving to Junglee Pictures Creative Dvelopment department at its inception. At Junglee, he was instrumental in development and green lighting of films like Talvar, Bareilly Ki Barfi, Raazi and Badhaai Ho. He has been part of the film industry for almost two decades, in various capacities, across multi platforms. Ahishor Solomon is a screenwriter and filmmaker who began his journey as an assistant director, working in the Bollywood movies Paap (2003) and Rog (2005) early on in his career. In 2013, he made his directorial debut with the Hindi thriller John Day, which starred Naseeruddin Shah and Randeep Hooda in central roles. In 2016, Solomon co- wrote the bilingual comedy-drama Oopiri starring Akkineni Nagarjuna and Karthi. The film was a critical and commercial success. In 2019, he co-wrote the Telugu action drama Maharshi (2019), which was directed by Vamsi Paidipally and starred Mahesh Babu in the lead role. His upcoming movie is Wild Dog starring Akkineni Nagarjuna in the lead role.
