Angela Rayner Instagram – On Good Morning Britain earlier talking about the A level results disaster. It’s had a disproportionate impact on children from disadvantaged backgrounds. We have called for the government to go back to the teacher awarded grades. The current system has ‘baked-in inequalities’ and is completely unfair. It’s about young people who are having their life chances stolen from them because of a flawed system. The Government’s failed system favours private schools like Eton over disadvantaged students.
I also asked the Education Secretary Gavin Williamson MP why aren’t you out on the media this morning explaining to thousands of young people what you are going to do to fix the A Levels results mess?
