I knew I needed a big change to shake things up — so as soon as @nuria.contreras was back in the salon, I made an appointment for my biggest makeover yet! She chopped and balayaged my hair to perfection (which has been the same boring style for a decade!) Suddenly, I feel sexy, empowered, and confident again! ~𝔹𝕆𝔻𝕐 𝔻𝕐𝕊𝕄𝕆ℝℙℍ𝕀𝔸~ I used to have a very intense relationship with my fitness. In the competitive world of Los Angeles, I thought I’d have a leg up if I had the best body in the room. I obsessed over it. I was a total carbophobe, and wanted a backside like an Instagram model. I was in the best shape of my life, and still, I was transfixed with the extra flub on my tummy or the little bit on my arms. I only saw my imperfections, despite being in absolutely incredible shape. I noticed that I really had a problem after my surgeries (when I was withered away to skin and bone) and I LIKED the way I looked in the mirror. 😳 When I stepped back and looked a photo someone else took, it was a rudeeeee awakening (see fitness story highlights…) . . . . . . Now that my body is starting to snap back and I can see my shape again, I’ve had to have a very real conversation with myself and my unrealistic expectations of perfection. It’s no more “don’t eat this or that” and work out like a maniac — it’s do what feels good, increase your flexibility, gain endurance slowly, and STOP when you’re at your limit. THAT’S health. I was wearing a denim jacket with my cute new haircut, watching the sunset with @bleweyd, and he looked over at me and told me I was his “little 90’s dream girl”… so he got me this hot red ‘93 Mercedes SL convertible to drive around for the day and take pictures in with my favorite car enthusiast @_stevecellis! I’m surprised to see how many people are curious about Pioneertown and how many have actually visited themselves! So I wanted to share. We took the trip to celebrate Geoff’s birthday (far left in full cowboy), but originally wanted to go to Joshua Tree. We found this Pioneer Tower residence on Air BnB and fell in love with it. Turns out, this town was originally build to be a live-in western film set! It had so much character and history. We were still surrounded with Joshua Trees, but we were in walking distance to the famous @pappyandharriets and the Pioneertown Motel! We told the owner that we really loved the tower, and it turns out that they’re building another tower in Joshua Tree. We’ll be hitting that spot next year! 10/10 would recommend 🤠🌵 #pioneerwoman #desertvacation #imacowboybaby #pioneertower
