S. Epatha Merkerson

S. Epatha Merkerson Instagram – Brian Dennehy….we never worked together but years ago we were on Celebrity Jeopardy together with #AndyRichter who took home the prize. (Although I have to say I ran the Literary New York category!) We would run into each other after that at the theatre or theatre events and he’d always give me a hard time about beating him at Jeopardy and I’d always have to remind him, “Brian, I came in last…not you!” (Double Jeopardy category was with audio…Carole King singing and I answered,” It’s Too Late” and of course the answer is “It’s Too Late Baby.” Ugghhh… anyway, it doesn’t matter because Brian always said he came in last!
I just ran into him recently with his son Cormack at Trattoria Dell’ Arte in NYC and he was, as ever, very sweet and so attentive. I was a fan and he knew that but he just made me feel like he was my forever fan. What a nice man. What a huge talent!
