Sometimes letting go is very Difficult, but you have to smile and walk away!

Never thought the memories of the Fun, Challenges, Failures, Fights, victories of my School days will hit me so hard.
On this occasion of #nationalsportsday
Allow me to tell you about an unspoken side of mine..
I used to be ‘individual champion’ (an award given to an athlete who has come first in any 3 athletic individual event) every year, but this one time as i walked into senior secondary section i saw this unusual game called
‘Kho Kho’ !
It was such a thrill to watch that i became fan of the ones playing it, i wanted to play like them.. i joined the camp, where i was insulted and laughed on for not being capable and i left the summer camp midway!
Every year from my 6th to 10th..for 5 years i played inter school but was never qualified for next level.
It was the only dream i had back then!
To get a feel of how it feels to be a ‘National Player’ i still remember borrowing @priti.rai didi’s Maroon National jersey.
Everyone used to change their game after a year or two, But i wanted to keep trying, i tried impressing referees by providing them water time to time, they all knew me, saw me every year but no one ever selected/ recommended me even once!
The 6th year was the Final year, my only chance to prove myself.
This time i just let go of everyone, didn’t feel like impressing anyone, i didn’t care about being selected anymore, so i just played my heart out!
We Won Gold that year..
We not only won the Finals, i was selected for the Nationals.
Later We won Gold in Nationals which was held at Pune
i was one of the 2 players selected from my team for SGFI (School Games Federation of India) to represent KVS (Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan)
Now i had that Jersey on me, which no one in school ever had, and was owned by me, by my hardwork, not recommendations nor influence!
A simple lesson for life..
The moment we do something from all our heart and soul, the universe does get along to make us achieve our goal.
So don’t ever give up because it is time taking, i would have left the hope 5years back then and never felt how it really feels to prove yourself to yourself.
Thanks for the Support @priti.rai #Mom #Savitri_ma’am, you where there when no one was!
