Shenaz Treasurywala Instagram – I need your help. I’ve been trying to figure out what the right thing to do is here. When I arrived in Goa and talked about tourism I got slammed for encouraging travel. The goa state has now opened even more and removed the mandatory Covid test. All the restaurants and bars are now open. This is justifiably worrisome for the goa locals who fear for their elders. I myself fear for my parents in Mumbai and it makes me so sad that they can’t go anywhere and are locked up like prisoners in their home. As for travel my opinion is – covid tests should be mandatory. We should avoid bars and go to restaurants that practice safety and social distancing. We must also respect the locals sentiments. The goa locals are terrified even though the government has opened up. The toursim industry is hit badly and I want to #standwithtravel . People have gone back to work. My work is to make travel and lifestyle content. I want to continue to make my content respecting the locals – save these travel ideas when it’s safe again for you to travel with your friends and family.
