Jared Harris Instagram – In October, 2014, we were in South Africa, and I arranged an overnight stay at a Cheetah rescue called @inverdoorn. My wife loves animals, especially cats, and doubly the big cats. We met “Velvet,” a noble, remarkable, graceful cheetah. We felt so special to be in the presence of such a fantastic being, and terribly saddened to learn of how cheetah populations were dwindling. Flash forward to 2020, and by last estimate there are less than 7100 cheetahs left in the wild.
Each year we lend our voices to the @RememberingWildlife series, who produce a book annually to create awareness about the plight of animals facing extinction. This year, that light shines on the majestic cheetah.
