Matthew Underwood Instagram – Like many of you, I found myself feeling anxiety as this pandemic started rolling in and that feeling was only compounded by a feeling of helplessness as I couldn’t find a way to get involved.
I’ve found my outlet though- Making masks to donate to my community. They’re not difficult to make and you can do it while socially distancing.
There are a Ton of people who need the help of the makers out there. Pull out your grandmas sewing machine and make masks, reunbox the 3D printer you got for Christmas but stashed in the garage 2 years ago and start making swabs, you can even pullout a pair of scissors and cut some fabric to give to someone who knows how to sew if you don’t.
Cool idea: Make a poster showing your support for first responders, medical peeps, firefighters, police, essential workers or all of the above and put it in your window for them to see as they drive home. You might not know the retired RN that volunteered to help even though they’re at the highest risk and they could live 3 doors down.
Don’t be bored right now.
Your community needs you. Your country needs you. The whole world is counting on one another at this very second.
