Xavier Dolan Instagram – Can’t imagine this happening back when I was in high school other than as some Halloween ritual. Back then I had friends who were compassionate and accepting. But this…. this is incredible.
These Montreal students decided to wear skirts at school earlier this week to show solidarity for their fellow female classmates, saying, amongst other brilliant things, that they thought school uniforms were uselessly objectifying women, and that clothes couldn’t define individuals and bind people to a gender.
Every day I keep looking for good news and there are so few. Here’s some.
À part pour un déguisement à Halloween, je n’arrive pas à imaginer que quelque chose d’aussi incroyable aurait pu se produire quand j’étais au secondaire. J’avais des amis formidables, compréhensifs, tolérants, mais….
Ces jeunes étudiants ont décidé plus tôt cette semaine de porter la jupe en soutien aux filles de leur classe. Entre autres choses, ils disaient qu’ils trouvaient les uniformes scolaires sexualisaient inutilement les femmes et que les vêtements ne pouvaient en aucun cas définir des individus et leur imposer un genre.
