This plant is beautiful but has an unfortunate name. Uotamus and I have no clue how to spell it. The bike is rusty and twenty-two years old and it is trying to kill me because I’m too old to ride a bike. I know Goldie Hawn still rides a bike and we’re the same age but clearly different species. I am going to run the bike over with my car.

MY OCTOPUS TEACHER is a documentary on NETFLIX now. It is an extraordinary film about the friendship between a man, a very gifted cameraman, and an octopus over the course of a year. It is shot mostly underwater on the Cape of South Africa and gives you access to the world beneath the ocean and it is magnificent. There is the equivalent of a car chase and the longing of a love story; I wept at the end. Do not miss this rare experience. You will owe me.
