The BOA FOUNDATION has launched the Covid-19 relief campaign for the Huni Kuin, to support several families from their communities. Such campaign was launched at their request, to give them further autonomy and support them in their decision to remain in social isolation. The funds have been distributed to the Txana Huya Huni Kuin family clan and other Huni Kuin families of Igarapé Caucho. They have bought hygiene products as well as work tools so that these communities can make it through their self-imposed quarantine. Their aim is to become more self-sufficient by strengthening their local sustainable agriculture production.
We, from the Boa Foundation, and the Huni Kuin communities of Igarapé Caucho are very grateful for your support! The relief support will allow these communities, formerly in a more vulnerable situation, to further protect their villages during this time. ❤🌈🦋
