I woke up today, looked in the mirror and felt extremely insecure. I tried putting on makeup (to make myself feel better). It didn’t help. Confidence is something I have struggled with nearly my entire life. I have a breakdown almost every time I have to do press for a project that i’m in. I’ve never felt happy with myself, or “good enough”, whatever that means. I’m sure a lot of you assume that i’m consistently happy and confident based off of my instagram, but that’s definitely not the case. I struggle with self-esteem and security as I’m sure most of you do. Even though it can be difficult, I feel like this is important to talk about because social media tends to paint flawless versions of people. Which, in turn, gives us an inaccurate, unrealistic standard we feel pressured to meet.
